Avitage is seeking sales-communication experts for client engagements. In this role, you will be responsible for winning and growing clients by applying our innovative ideas, processes and services to client sales challenges.

You will help to identify the best opportunities for our ideas and services. You will diagnose corporate customer business, sales and marketing needs and identify the communication elements that impact those needs.

You will design client solutions based upon Avitage methodologies and services. And you will oversee service delivery to clients.

To do this, you must have a keen understanding of the principles of the complex, consultative sale and of interpersonal communications. Familiarity with basic multimedia technology (images, audio, animation and video) and production processes would be a plus. You will be knowledgeable about methods to assess client businesses, functional needs and technical requirements.

Additionally, you will monitor the overall quality of projects and their implementation, ensuring that the solution design and delivery meet the customer’s needs. You will also mentor others on your project teams or additional advisors. You will operate independently with only high-level direction.

 Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong familiarity with operations of business sales, marketing and product marketing organizations
  • Natural curiosity and inquisitive nature
  • Natural abilities to obtain the trust of customers, to the point of “trusted advisor”
  • Comfortable in the role of an expert
  • Consultative skills, including opportunity spotting, trust and relationship building, business analysis, influencing individual and group decision making, negotiation and account management
  • Communication skills: listening, conversations and written communication 
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to create successful proposals and presentations to win business
  • Proven ability to deliver outcomes, meet deadlines and conduct professional business practices, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Tremendous energy and enthusiasm for delivering consulting services
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies, with a demonstrated understanding of technical concepts and vocabulary
  • Extreme flexibility in working hours
  • Willingness to travel, as business needs dictate
  • High level of initiative and sound independent judgment
  • Disciplined and conscientious outlook

Qualifications and Experience

  • 10+ years minimum consulting experience in a related discipline that involved successful quota achieving direct selling, a complex, solution-oriented process and program management
  • Advanced degree in business or communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience architecting and designing complex process or technology solutions

Compensation
The right candidate will be highly compensated, initially commensurate with experience, ultimately based on business outcomes. Industry standard salary, plus aggressive and unlimited bonus program. Participation in company 401k plan. Medical insurance is 80% covered. Professional, enjoyable working environment allows the right person to run their own program.

Location
This position is located at 1432 Main Street, Waltham, Mass. Today, this is a requirement, due to the rapidly evolving nature of our business and the responsibilities of this position. Remote work location is not possible at this time.
